Kristin Fisher has joined the CNN Space and Defense Correspondent team in the month of July 2021. As an official for the Space and Defense Department, Kristin Fisher covers all aspects of space from NASA to the newly created Space Force as well as commercial space businesses as well as space tourism. Kristin has a background in the space sector as the daughter and granddaughter of NASA astronauts. Over the last five years, she has covered space policies under Trump and Biden Administrations on FOX News. During that time, she also covered presidential impeachment proceedings as well as the presidential campaign for 2020 as well as efforts of two administrations in order to control the Coronavirus Pandemic. She also traveled extensively with the President and Vice President as well as a secret visit to Afghanistan with former President Donald Trump. Prior to being hired by the channel in 2015, Kristin spent nearly a decade working her way up through the local news channels in Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she won an Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the Washington, D.C.'s CBS affiliate. Kristin started Field Mouse Films with her expertise behind the camera in the year 2014. Kristin holds earned a Bachelor in Science in Journalism, which she earned from Boston University.
